He is a College Dropout

Elon Musk was enrolled in one of the most prestigious colleges in the US, Stanford University. He was enrolled to pursue a doctorate in Physics in 1995. However, two days into the doctorate experience, Musk decided to drop out of the university. After dropping out of college, Musk started his first company called Zip2, which provided maps and directories to online newspapers. Four years later, he sold the company for millions of dollars.

Has Ten Kids and Wants More

It is a little-known fact that Elon Musk is the father to ten children. He has five children with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson, and later went on to have two more children with musician Grimes. In 2021, he had his Neuralink executive Shivon Zills had twins. Musk’s children include a pair of twin boys born in 2004, triplets born in 2006, a son born in 2018, and a daughter born via surrogate in 2021. Musk had a son who passed away at ten weeks. Musk is vocal about population growth and believes everyone should have as many children as possible.

Downey was given a tour of the SpaceX headquarters, where he picked up certain mannerisms and eccentricities that he used to bring the character of Tony Stark to life.

Musk’s Mother is a Model

Few people know that Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, is a well-known model model who has had an expansive career in the model industry for several years. At 69, Maye Musk became one of the newest faces of makeup brand Covergirl. At 74, she was one of the oldest swimsuit models to be featured on the cover of the well-known magazine “Sports Illustrated.”

Musk’s Parents Thought He Was Deaf

Elon Musk was quite an introspective child who would not talk much or even respond to people around him much. This raised some concerns for his parents, who took him to doctors who could run some hearing tests on him. It turned out that he had perfect hearing and would not pay much attention to what was going around him.

He Created His Own Video Game at 12

At 12 years old, Elon Musk created and coded his video game called “Blastar .”The game is inspired by science fiction and space and previews what his life would become. The main objective of this video game was to destroy an alien spacecraft carrying deadly bombs. Musk sold the game to a South African trade publication for $500.

He Sold Candy Door-To-Door

When he was a young boy, Elon Musk and his brother and cousins would travel around the wealthier parts of their area to sell homemade chocolate Easter eggs to rich people. The group of young kids would go door-to-door and sell the candy at a price that was 20 times the cost of actually making them.

Elon Musk grew up in South Africa and moved to the United States with his family. On his move to the US, Musk was heavily bullied by his new classmates, who would even severely beat him up sometimes. The beatings he got from his bullies led to a deviated septum, which Musk had to fix later on at the age of 41.

He’s Not the Founder of Tesla

Because of his close association with the company, many people believe that Elon Musk is the founder of Tesla. However, many will be surprised to know that Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning back in 2003. The founders brought Musk to the company, where he invested $6.35 million in the first round of venture funding in 2004.

Inspired A Solar Energy Company

Elon Musk inspired SolarCity, a solar energy company founded by two of Musk’s cousins in 2006. In the early days of the solar energy company, Musk invested a remarkable $10 million and even held a critical seat on the company board. Later, in 2016, Musk acquired the solar company for a whopping $2.6 billion. The company was rebranded and is known as today’s Tesla Energy.

Doesn’t Take A Salary at Tesla
