Barcelona, Spain – Europe’s largest blockchain event, the European Blockchain Convention 9, is expected to surpass all its previous editions in 2H 2023. The event was launched in 2018.
The event will open its doors to over 5,000 attendees between 24 and 27 October 2023 in Barcelona. The event takes place just ahead of the highly anticipated FC Barcelona and Real Madrid El Clasico clash.

The European Blockchain Convention connects industry professionals, startups, and technology leaders. The event provides a platform for sharing insights, nurturing partnerships, and discovering the vast potential of blockchain, crypto, and digital assets.
A total of 300 founders, CEOs and industry experts will be a part of the talks at the event, according to the organizers.
This year’s agenda will cover numerous issues, including the regulatory challenges in Europe and globally, the surge in adoption of digital assets, stablecoins, CBDCs, privacy, the institutionalization of crypto, DeFi, sustainability, tokenization, and the ascent of AI.
The co-founder of the European Blockchain Convention Victoria Gago believes that strong interest in the event has led organizers to book the largest venue available in the country.
“We have seen a significant increase in registrations and interest from exhibitors and sponsors alike after the overwhelmingly positive feedback we got from our previous edition. Building on that momentum, we are moving EBC9 to Fira Barcelona, a much larger venue”, Gago said. “Fira Barcelona, being the largest convention centre in Spain, offers ample space for more exhibitors, a greater variety of content, and engaging experiences”.
In addition to panel discussions and workshops hosted across 3 stages, the program includes Q&A Sessions with experts, one on one meetings, lounges for participants to connect, a hackathon, investors’ meetup and much more.
The co-founder of the event Daniel Salmeron was excited to further the commitment towards crypto and digital assets.
